Born in 1996, Jack Moyse is based in Swansea, Wales, and has an MA in photography from Plymouth College of Art. He holds a position at Teesside University, lecturing and leading their MA in Photography.  His practice focuses on the lived disabled experience, providing insight into and exposure for those marginalised in the UK, and the oppressive systems they encounter.

A Sorry State.
2025 -

The welfare state is failing those dependent on it. Decades of change, branded as renewal, have delivered further inequality and hardship. Simultaneously, those forced to contend with the broken system are vilified, tarnished as scroungers. A Sorry State pushes back against unfounded allegations, centring the endurance of those reliant on state support for survival.

You & I
2019 - 
You and I is an introspective documentary series following a young artist attempting to understand the physical and mental impacts of living with the disability with which he was diagnosed aged 17. His reflections form the basis of a narrative that encompasses some of the many issues people living with debilities encounter including romance, parenthood and prejudice.
Based primarily in photography, the project questions ableist attitudes from the viewpoint of the lived disabled experience, offering insight into the life of a marginalised group often overlooked by society.

Arno
2020-2022
Arno is a documentary series that began in the summer of 2020. It follows Jacob Arnold, a young surfer and shaper based in Gower. As the creative sector began to collapse, Jacobs business boomed with people escaping to the oceans in a bid to escape reality. This series concentrates on the craftsmanship, dedication and passion displayed by Jacob and his loyal workforce highlighting the art behind surfboard shaping.
